locking your account - additional protection

Account locking is an additional layer of security for accounts. This feature has been active since day one, but we do not encourage players to use it, which is why it has not been publicly announced. We know that most players may not fully understand this feature, and it could lead to negligence on the player’s part, since once activated, this feature is permanently bound to the account if the activated code is forgotten.

Now, we are officially announcing it and strongly encouraging everyone to make use of this protection. By enabling Account Locking, you add a powerful shield to your account, making it far more secure against unauthorized access.

How to lock your account:

• Log in to your account in-game.
• Type the command: /lock [minimum 1 to maximum 10 digits code]
  Your code must be between 1 to 10 digits.
  Once set, this code will be permanently bound to your account.
  
  
  
• Make sure to double-check that the code appears in the status message before you switch characters or log out of your account.
• Avoid using zero (0) at the beginning of your code.
  • e.g., 0123456789 – the system will not read zero (0) as the starting number; it will become 123456789 instead of 0123456789.
• The code must start with either the number one (1) or two (2), followed by 9 more digits (e.g., number one (1) + 9 digits or number two (2) + 9 digits) to make a maximum of 10 digits code.
  • e.g., (1)234567891 or (2)123456789
• The code can start with numbers 3 to 9, followed by up to maximum of 9 digits (e.g., number (3) + 8 digits up to number (9) + 8 digits), for a total of up to 9 digits code.
  • e.g., (3)12345678 up to (9)12345678
• If you accidentally enter more than 10 digits, or if your code starts with numbers 3 to 9 and reaches a total of 10 digits, the default code will be 2147483647. You can unlock your account using this code and then change it to a new one.

• Log in to your account in-game.
• Once you log in, the character selection screen will prompt a message: "Account is locked by security code!"
  
• Choose your character and log in to the game. Another prompt message will appear:
  
• Type the command: /unlock [your activated code]
  
• Once you are done, a status message will appear:
  

• Log in to your account in-game.
• Unlock your account first using the activated code.
• After unlocking the account, type the command: /lock 0
  • Just type a single zero (0) after /lock and it will remove or unbind the account lock from the account.

• Characters within the account cannot be moved or warped.
• You cannot chat in-game.
• Items on the character cannot be moved.
• All in-game activities will be restricted.
• No new characters can be created under the account.

• Characters with fully equipped gear must be in a Gens.
  • If a character is not in a Gens, it can be transferred to another account using our Character Transfer website feature.
• Do not use codes that are easy to guess, such as 1111111111 or 1234567891.
• Do not use codes that start with the number zero (0).
• Do not use codes that start with the number three (3) to number (9) if you want to use the maximum 10 digits code.
• Do not use codes that exceed more than 10 digits code.
• Take note of your code and keep it safe.
• Use a different code if you have multiple accounts.
• Do not share or lend your code to anyone. Sharing is at your own risk.

• Go to Account Settings
