We all know that the Excellent Set in IGCN is already powerful, even with a maximum of only two options. From the beginning, we had no intention of releasing a three-option complete set because of a default feature in IGCN's duel room.

This feature replenishes the players’ SD (Shield Protection) at the start of every round, giving a significant advantage to those using Excellent Sets.

After our Grand Opening on November 11, 2023, the duel room retained its default SD replenishment settings. However, by November 20, 2023, our team successfully modified this setting to remove SD replenishment, and the change was implemented on the live server within the same month.

We have been monitoring this adjustment daily over the following months. After observing the server’s dynamics for a year, we decided to release the full three-option Excellent Sets, including shields and weapons, as we found no instances where these sets became overpowered.

During the Classic era, duel settings didn’t have SD replenishment each round, and Excellent Sets with only one or two options were largely ineffective. Back then, players preferred using Ancient Sets, as they had a much higher chance of winning. Even with good upgrades and Yellow Options, two-option Excellent Sets couldn’t compete effectively, as we witnessed firsthand.

Currently, the server includes three-option components for Battle Ancient Sets, which are available through the Lord Mix system. These components will be removed from the Lord Mix. Starting in 2025, we won’t just release components for Battle Ancient; we will release complete three-option sets.

However, players who already own a +15 set with two options should not worry—these sets are already battle-ready, especially for upcoming events like Duel Master.

All kinds of Excellent Sets, weapons, and shields are still available through daily grinding, even without the event boxes specifying the kind of items. Players can still craft them using Medals, Treasures, Cherry Blossoms, Lucky Coins, or even AFK map loot, with a maximum of 2 options.

Acquiring 3 option items will be challenging and rare. They will only be obtainable through Event Boxes, which are refreshed monthly. This rarity will ensure that the progression of the server remains balanced and engaging.
